Montiguard never filters messages from numbers that are in your phone's contacts. To "whitelist" a number and ensure its messages are always delivered, simply add it to your contacts. It's super easy!

Why Add to Contacts?

By design, Montiguard doesn't filter messages from numbers saved in your phone's contacts. This means adding a trusted number to your contacts automatically "whitelists" it, preventing any filtering.

Prerequisites

  • Access to your phone's contacts app
  • The phone number you want to add

How to Add a Trusted Contact

1

Open Your Contacts App

On your phone, open the contacts or phone app where you manage your contacts.

2

Add the New Contact

Create a new contact and enter the phone number. You can add a name if you like, but the number is what matters for whitelisting.

3

Save the Contact

Save the contact. Now, any messages from this number will never be filtered by Montiguard.

Example

Suppose your bank's number is +1234567890 and you want to ensure their messages aren't filtered. Open your contacts app, add a new contact with that number, and save it. From now on, all messages from +1234567890 will be delivered without any filtering by Montiguard.

What Happens Next?

Once the number is saved in your contacts, Montiguard will recognize it and never filter messages from that number. This is automatic and doesn't require any additional settings in the app.

Troubleshooting

Messages still being filtered

Double-check that the number is saved exactly as it appears in the messages (including country code). Also, ensure Montiguard has access to your contacts if prompted.

Can't add the contact

Make sure you have permission to edit contacts on your device. If using a work phone, check with your IT department.
